Steve Elsworth

With over a decade of experience in the music industry, Steve Elsworth (aka Audiophile 021) has done it all. Educated at Wits & Cape Audio College, Steve graduated with honours in sound engineering and went on to achieve his advanced music production and programming honours as well. With a successful freelance career in place, he started working with a number of up and coming bands and artists in and around the country as well as successful ventures into the advertising and post-production fields. He returned to Cape Audio College to establish a full certificate programme that taught all the aspects of Electronic Music Programming. He became one of the head lecturers and trainers in the college's Audio Engineering and production courses. While at Cape Audio College he was approached by the University of Cape Town and began lecturing there in 2009.

Steve joined the Red Bull Studio team in 2010, where he worked with countless artists and bands and has helped develop young talent, nurturing their sound and delivery. With extensive contacts in the music industry and with a solid finger on the pulse of the current music trends within South Africa and Africa he made a successful transition into content acquisition. Currently Steven is the Head of Content Acquisition for Southern Africa with Spinlet.
