Romeo Smith Aludhilu (born March 26, 1999), better known by his stage name Slime, is a Namibian rapper, singer, producer and songwriter. He is signed to Club Saucy Africa in partnership with BlvcBoxx Entertainment Records. Slime was born in Oshakati, Namibia. He was raised by his grandmother and has 8 siblings (4 sisters and 3 brothers).
He grew up in a music environment. He had two uncles that did music, one well known for being a hip hop pioneer in Namibia (Shikololo). Slime Namibia started making music at the age of 9 but was never passionate about making music. At the age of sixteen, he got a studio and started producing and mixing for rappers around his town. He later tried recording and he put music Into consideration.
Although he grew up listening to Lil Wayne, Young Thug and Migos, he says that his music style is mostly inspired by Young Thug and Emtee, among others.
In 2018, Slime Namibia released a single titled Whole Lott’s featuring Envy but it didn’t really make an impact as he expected it to. Later that same year, Slime Namibia recorded Onkolo and recorded a video snippet of it for his Instagram account which later started making headlines as people wanted to get the full song. He then released Onkolo which immediately started to trend on the Instagram at the time and gave him a lot of recognition country wide.
Later in 2018, Slime Namibia started working with Martin Kapuka, founder and owner of Blaqhouse Collections. He then released an EP titled Golden Goat in October of 2018 which made headlines with its hit titled 7 de Laan. Golden Goat has acquired more that 50,000 plays on Audiomack.
End of December 2018, Slime recorded “Ila Popepi” which was later leaked and he had to release it cause it was making headlines. He then Released it in February 2019. Also in March 2019, Slime Namibia signed to Blvcboxx Entertainment. In October 2019, Slime Namibia released another EP through BlvcBoxx Entertainment.
Slime Namibia has worked with a lot of Namibian Artists such as King Elegant, ViktaJuiceBoy, TK The Rapper, just to mention a few. He headlined a lot of Namibian Festivals and shows. He is known as a rager when in comes to crowed control.
