Siya Ngcobo

Writer, journalist, playwright, musician, actor and filmmaker Siya Ngcobo graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Drama from Rhodes University. He has made inroads in publishing, having written for publications like the The Mail and Guardian, Sunday World, The Event and The Callsheet, Entertainment Africa, iafrica.com and Caxton newspapers amongst many others. He directed an SABC 2 documentary on activist Zackie Achmat, called His Husband, in 2011. He makes music as Umlilo and is constantly working on combining writing, music, art and media to create ground-breaking stories.
