Shaun Shakur

Shaun Shakur is a versatile artist from the Eastern parts of South Africa, he offers unique sound fused with Hip-Hop, Rap, a blend of RnB and some Trap-Soul last but not least our home grown genre's which are Kwaito, Amapiano and Africa's well-known genre which is Afro-Pop. Shaun Shakur believes that his music can push the boundaries of the Hip-Hop culture to even greater heights. In his earlier life when he was coming up in a small township situated near Witbank, called Phola, Ogies where he met up with childhood friend Kgomotso Chauke (Tony Zealot) and started composing music at the early age of 12 a year later after he had lost his mother in January 2011. Tony on the other hand was only 13 years old when they collaborated on three songs (City N**gas, Stress Relief & Kingin') which surprised their hood by their unique talents and gifts especially at such a young age.
In 2023 after releasing "PLAQUE" on August 29th, Shaun also found opportunity to start his own record label titled Piggy Bank Music, being the only artist on the stable currently. Shaun aims to balance his Music and his entrepreneurial skills to cultivate his gift to insane altitudes.
