Robert Sekowe is a visionary music executive, entrepreneur, and cultural curator dedicated to shaping the future of South Africa’s creative economy. With over a 2 decades of experience working alongside some of the continent’s most influential artists, including Oskido, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, Robert has established himself as a leading figure in artist development, event curation, and business strategy.
As founder of GapeGro Trust, Robert oversees a diversified portfolio of companies and initiatives spanning music, fashion, media and street culture. Through Legacy Defined, Tshepo Jeans, Rhythm Assembly, Ovi Couture, Libertium, and CreativFX Media, he has built platforms that empower artists, amplify African stories, and create sustainable cultural ecosystems.
He is the driving force behind Scorpion Kings Live, one of South Africa’s biggest live music properties, the YOU&ME event series, and PorryLand, a groundbreaking live concert experience designed to build cultural infrastructure and set new standards for African entertainment. His work expands beyond entertainment into education and empowerment through the Libertium Foundation, where he leads initiatives in artist development, financial literacy, and industry education.
