He has been writing and performing spoken words for more than ten years. His writing style is not only unique but is believed to be revolutionary – he writes in Sheng, which does not only connect languages but people. Over the years he has been rewarded a number of awards such as kwani open mic, slamAfrica and Pearls of Africa. He also looks back at numerous performances in Kenya and beyond – Churchchill show, KAN Festival in Tanzania, AU Forum, UN Forum and the 10th anniversary of the CCIO, he also performed for and at the Swedish embassy and others, to name only a few. Furthermore, his poetry has been exhibited at alliance francais and he was invited and attended the AfricanSummit in Mountpellier France in October 2021.

Apart from writing and performing he is involved in the implementation of several projects and campaigns such as #FormNiGani and the ForumCiv Hub, under which name he has recently implemented the #MasterclassWithTeardrops.

To say it in his words “Hi life ni drama, Kiswahili na English ni grammar but Sheng ndio lugha ya mama.”
