Bio

Based in Wellington, New Zealand, the National Library of New Zealand has the duty to enrich the cultural and economic life of New Zealand and its interchanges with other nations. Its role is to collect, preserve, and protect documents, particularly those relating to New Zealand, and making them accessible for all the people of New Zealand, in a manner consistent with their status as documentary heritage and taonga.

The library features journals which focus on the background of African music, music instruments used in Africa. Such books are Music of Africa, Making music for new South Africa, Music of Africa an Introduction, African Music in Perspective and many others.
