Moustapha Diop

Moustapha Diop is an artist and manager.

He has been playing jazz since he was in high school. But his musical career really began in 1981 with the creation of his first musical band Jiiw bagn (which mean ‘the seed of refusal’ in Ouolof, a language spoken in Senegal, Mauritania and Gambia). The name of the group was later changed to Jamm (a Ouolof word for peace).

Moustapha Diop began his professional career as a teacher and then switched career to computer sciences. He co-founded Solid, an IT solutions company based in Dakar.

Recently he created Musik Bi, an online music store.
