Little Rock
Bio
Rochelle Duvenage, now known professionally as Little Rock, is a Durban-born, Cape Town-based guitarist and singer-songwriter whose gentle, heartfelt folk rock reflects her love of poetry and human expression. At seven years old, she started writing songs and poems about simple childhood experiences, picking up a guitar for the first time at the age of eight. After testing the waters at a few spontaneous open mics, while living in Edinburgh, her first solo performance for a public audience was on a small stage in Grahamstown in 2017. She has since played at several live music venues around Cape Town, connecting and collaborating with various talented South African artists. Her songwriting explores the many strange, beautiful, and contradictory facets of the human condition, covering themes such as growing up, memories, heartbreak, mental health, loss, adventure, social issues, and love.
