Bio

Dennis Nana Dwamena (born 18 August 1993), professionally known as KiDi ( meaning “rhythm” )is a leading Ghanaian singer, songwriter, and producer celebrated for blending afrobeats and contemporary highlife. His smooth vocal style and melodic storytelling have positioned him among the most influential voices of Ghana’s modern music scene.

While studying Economics and Information Studies at the University of Ghana, KiDi performed on campus platforms such as Moonlight Café, recording covers and developing his craft. His breakthrough came in 2015 when he won the MTN Hitmaker competition and was signed to Lynx Entertainment. He rose to national prominence with hits like “Say You Love Me,” “Ɔdɔ,” and “Adiepena,” establishing himself as one of Ghana’s fastest-rising stars.

KiDi has performed on major stages across Ghana and abroad and collaborated with artists including Davido, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Adina, Kwesi Arthur, Kuami Eugene, and Stonebwoy. Beyond performing, he writes and produces for other artists, contributing to the expansion of Ghanaian popular music.

His debut album Sugar (2019) introduced a new wave of highlife-pop fusion, followed by the Blue EP (2020) and his second studio album The Golden Boy (2021), which won Album of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards. The album featured the record-breaking hit “Touch It,” one of the most streamed Ghanaian songs globally.

Awarded Artiste of the Year at the 2021 3Music Awards and TGMA 2022, KiDi continues to shape Afrobeats through innovation, romance, and cultural continuity, connecting traditional Ghanaian sound with contemporary global music language.
