John Sibi Okumu

John Sibi-Okumu is a Kenyan actor, director and playwright as well as broadcast journalist.

He is a self-confessed lover of music of all kinds from all places and has a personal collection which would be the envy of many. He has narrated the Retracing series (Benga, Kikuyu Pop, Funky Hits, Songs of Protest) for Ketebul Music, under producer Tabu Osusa and has also scripted, directed and narrated, Weapon of Mass Reconciliation and Hot Sounds from Hot Climes, both focusing on contemporary Kenyan music.

He is currently writing a full length musical in collaboration with his two musician sons.
