JahRah

jaHRah, alias Killimanjaro, is a musician, poet, and sound system selector from Tshwane, Gauteng, who also runs ILIGHT Soundsystem.

JaHRah started loving music at a young age, discovering RASTAFARI livity. He centralized with other students of the same calling and formed a movement that was heavily influenced by Reggae music. That's when the love for music grew, influenced by the rebellious spirit of Black Consciousness and a gift for vocabulary display.

After a long career in other fields of occupation, JaHRah ventured full-time into running the sound system and pursuing his love of composing and performing.

JaHRah is well known for his thought-provoking songs, which address social ills, corruption, and the system failures of modern politics with well-constructed truths in songs such as "VELAPHI," "CHICKEN," and many others. His first release was in November of 2025, an album called 'THE BOOK OF JAHRAH' under Deep Fam Records.
