Jah Law Promotions

Jah Law Promotions, founded in September 2010 in The Gambia, is a dynamic force in music promotion and development, with a core mission to celebrate the diverse tapestry of African arts and cultures. In its early years, Jah Law spearheaded the “On D Road” tour, amplifying the voices of underground artists within The Gambia. This grassroots initiative laid the foundation for global recognition, as we became the host promoter for the Back To Africa Movement tour and collaborated with international luminaries like Don Green, Cofounder of Reggae Sunsplash in Jamaica, and Tina Jones, CEO of MBE Consulting/JOTD Productions in the USA.

The official inception in 2015 marked a turning point, leading to national registration and international recommendation for Jah Law Promotions. We also played a pivotal role in events like the 2014 International ROOTS Festival featuring Muta Baruka (Jamaica), the late Dr. Runoko Rashidi (USA), and other renowned international artists and orators. Also, the Black Consciousness Tour in 2016 featured Turbulence (Jamaica), Black Mexxiah (Ghana) & Royal Philosopher (Gambia), showcasing a commitment to connecting continents through the arts and cultures/music.

Post-lockdown, Jah Law has seamlessly transitioned into talent development and promotion, sustaining its rhythm by organizing stage shows for prominent Gambian artists like Awa Gambia, Jizzle, etc., and facilitating talent shows for emerging talents within the vibrant landscape of African arts and cultures.
