Eminence

Eminence is one of Namibia’s top music online publications that feature an array of information on music news, artist interviews and exclusives, video and many more. The site is popular for digitalizing music content thus making it easier for anyone in the world to access it. Headquartered in Windhoek, Eminence is also popular for music charts that are a primary source of information on trends and innovation in music. As such, the publication assists music fans, artists, top executives, tour promoters, publishers, radio programmers, retailers, digital entrepreneurs with music related content.

It features a program called New Artist Battle Chart. The program only caters for established artists whose fan-base is between 1500 and 5000. The artist’s number of fans is determined by number of likes Facebook and followers Twitter.

In this program, fans are encouraged to vote for their favorite. All the winning and participating artists get an income. 10% is for a winning artist and 10% is meant for all artists who participated in the battle charts. The remaining 80% belongs to Eminence.
