Bio
El-Massrieen (or Al Massrieen) was a groundbreaking Egyptian pop band from the 1970s and 80s, led by composer Hany Shenoda, known for pioneering a unique blend of Egyptian folk music (Shaabi) with Western pop, rock, and electronic sounds, bringing new harmonies and instruments to the Egyptian music scene.
They are considered one of Egypt's first pop bands, bridging traditional sounds with modern influences, notes afikra.org and Last.fm.
