Don Jegosah

With a voice that moves like smoke, both raw and velvet, Don Jegosah is redefining what it means to be a genre bending artist in today’s music landscape. Born in Hamburg to Ghanaian roots and raised partly in the Czech Republic, Don’s life has always been shaped by movement across countries, identities, and sound worlds.

At just six years old, he began singing gospel and quickly rose to become a youth choir leader, laying the foundation for the magnetic presence he now brings to stages across Europe. His sound is a potent blend of avant garde pop, hip hop, electro, and melancholic R&B, creating a dark and orchestral atmosphere filled with emotional urgency and spiritual clarity. Whether whispering or soaring, his voice cuts through like velvet on stone textured, aching, powerful.

Don released his debut eight track mixtape on June 9, 2023, a body of work that blurred genre lines and introduced his sonic world with confidence and depth. In 2024, he expanded his creative universe by composing and performing the original music for the acclaimed German series “Schwarze Früchte”, further establishing his presence as a cultural voice of the moment.

On stage, Don Jegosah is a commanding force whose performances blur the line between concert, ritual, and raw emotional transmission. He has performed across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and is an active figure in Hamburg’s Black queer scene, where his voice and presence have become synonymous with radical expression and celebration. Beyond traditional stages, Don is also a sought-after MC and host, known for igniting energy at underground raves, queer club nights, and experimental art parties. From supporting visionary artists like Mykki Blanco, to electrifying audiences at Pop Kultur Festival Berlin, to opening for Rosa Anschütz aboard the MS Stubnitz, Don brings an immersive, genre-defiant experience that travels far beyond borders.

Now gaining international attention, Don Jegosah stands at the intersection of Black identity, European avant pop, and global performance art. He is ready to take center stage on the world’s platforms.
