Digital Music Monitoring Group
Bio
The Digital Music Monitoring Group is a set-up that includes several bodies pertaining to Nigerian music and its distribution online. It has as members Music Producers & Marketers Association of Nigeria, Music Label Owners Association of Nigeria, Wireless Application Services Producers Association of Nigeria, and the Copyright Society of Nigeria, among others.
It was launched on 22 October 2015 at the offices of the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON). The decision leading to its creation was taken at the Nigerian Digital Music Summit in Lagos.
The group is especially concerned with fighting piracy.
