Dawit Tsige is a popular Ethiopian singer-songwriter and musician known for winning the 2015 Balageru Idol (Ethiopian Idol) competition. Based in Addis Ababa, he blends traditional Ethiopian music with modern, soulful, and jazz-influenced sounds, performing with the Yene Zema Band

 Originally from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, he rose to prominence after winning the 2015 Balageru Idol Mirt. He is recognized for his, "amazing voice and stage presence," and produces music that combines traditional elements with contemporary, soulful melodies. He has performed at major events like the Selam Festival Addis 2016 and held international concerts, including a 2024 performance in Minneapolis. Known for tracks such as "Yene Zema," "Deha Ayetala Kewiha," and "Aschilosh," with music featured on compilations like Heat Up, Vol. 5
