Dashworld

DashWorld (Tshegofatso Mekgwe) is a critically acclaimed record producer, mixing engineer, and songwriter born and raised in Krugersdorp West, Gauteng. His passion for music sparked at the age of 13, when, as a high school student, he spent his free time in local studios watching producers and engineers bring songs to life. That early fascination quickly grew into a lifelong pursuit.

After completing high school, DashWorld enrolled at Central Johannesburg College to formally study sound, where he refined his craft and learned how to shape raw ideas into industry-ready records. His dedication led him to an internship at the legendary Downtown Music Hub, where he was mentored by respected sound engineer Oyama Songo. Under Songo’s guidance, DashWorld not only sharpened his technical skills but also earned a diploma in Sound Engineering.

Never one to stop learning, DashWorld continues to acquire new skills and expand his creative arsenal. Known for his ability to blend technical mastery with raw emotion, he has built a reputation for producing music that feels both timeless and innovative. He has worked with the likes of Yxng Stxck, Vixxen OG, and many more.
