Bio
Baxon, born Bakang Moitoi, is a Botswana hip hop artist, songwriter, and producer known for blending Motswako inspired rap with African trap and contemporary sounds. He began making music around 2013, developing his style through recording, songwriting, and production before gaining wider recognition.
He first drew major attention after releasing a viral cover of Panda, which helped introduce him to a broader audience and led to the release of his debut single Tima Lebone. Since then, he has continued to build momentum with a series of well received tracks that showcase his lyrical ability, melodic versatility, and strong cultural identity.
Baxon has collaborated with several notable figures in Botswana’s music scene, including the late Sasa Klaas, and has shared stages with prominent regional artists. His debut album Moithakathi further established him as one of the rising voices in Botswana hip hop, highlighting both his storytelling skills and his ability to experiment with sound.
