Bakhe Dlamini

Bio

Born on 19 October 1984 in Swaziland, Bakhe Dlamini is a singer and songwriter whose interest in music began at an early stage. He draws his inspiration from people such as Tyler Perry and T.D. Jakes. His passion for music was prompted at church when he was 13 years of age. He attended Nazarene High School and became active in the school’s student fellowship’s mass choir. After high school, he enrolled at college to study accounting and later dropped.

In 2006, he joined Swaziland College of Theology, where he did his BA Degree in Bible and Theology. He completed his degree in 2009 and became a fulltime associate pastor at Jesus Calls Worship Centre.

In 2010, he released his maiden African contemporary gospel album titled ‘I Am Healed’. He is an award winning artist who in 2011 won the Best Newcomer Award category at the SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards. In 2012, he was nominated in the Best of Africa category at the African Gospel Awards nominee. That same year he was also nominated in the Best Video category at the Crown Gospel Awards.

In October 2014, he did a DVD recording at the Royal Swazi Convention Centre. By 2016, he had recorded three albums namely ‘I Am Healed’ (debut), ‘A Place in Him’ and ‘Fresh Encounter’.

Apart from music, he is a dynamic preacher of the gospel and motivational speaker.
