Treasures Music

Bio

Wole Ojo and Femi Ogunjimi, whom God gave the vision to form the band Treasures Music, were both trained for four years under the renowned Gospel and High Life musician Tosin Bamgbose, of blessed memory.

Wole plays Guitar as well as vocal back up, while Femi was a back up vocalist between 1991 and 1994. Sometime in 1994, Wole Ojo was personally invited to play at the commissioning of DEES restaurant at Oremeji bus stop Mokola Ibadan by the CEO, Bisi Ayo that marked the beginning of Treasures band.

At the event, Femi was there to support Wole High Life Music and with him Dees. Everyone at the event loved the performance, which led to more bookings for events. At some point, the duo, Wole and Femi, could not handle the caliber of shows coming up again as it required more hands. Along the line The Banker-Trumpeter, Sunday Agbebiyi was invited to join the band. Now the trio started playing at the newly opened DEES restaurant every Sunday. Along the way Joshua Omotoso (JoshTosh) who is now a renowned gospel music minister in the UK, was also invited to play the keyboard, his introduction completely changed the game although it was difficult at first to get Joshua’s commitment at the beginning because of some personal reasons, but it was fruitful at the end to have him join the band.
