Yung Stellar Object

YSO  is a tutor, scholar and musician born in the Matjhabeng region in Free State. YSO saw glimpses of the power of music and the support he could receive when he came out the winner of Yanga's uTatakho remix challenge in partnership with CUT FM and set to be the opening act for Yanga at BAPS Album launch in Bloemfontein.(Which had a social media voting Round).

Most recently he received correspondence from Hunter's x Jacquel Culture House Talent Search that he had made the top 100 of the competition, with Tresor saying he loved "the moody and melodic feel" in YSO's music and that he "can't wait to hear more" from him. And last but not least he was announced as one of the recipients of the Music Business Short Learning Programme from Boston sponsored by SAMRO in 2022. 

Between 2020 and 2021 YSO worked with Business Arts SA (which saw the conception of his debut solo project Sauce Man EP), and Mangaung Visual Arts Fest, the young musician continues to stamp his presence as a formidable brand.  

YSO who's real name is Xolisa Monye also heads an educational support program for high school learners and those outside of the traditional schooling environment, Matrics On The Fringe (Youth Capital). The program pairs his academic background, technology and copyright expertise.

With the support of SAAYC and the creative media agency he helps run, Lvngley (Pty) Ltd. he now runs the educational program from Etwatwa in the East Rand and expands to other parts of the country through digitized learning.
