Deezer launches SongCatcher for iOS
Music streaming service Deezer has made available the SongCatcher feature to iOS users.
Deezer chief product and growth officer Stefan Tweraser.
SongCatcher, which was first launched for Android in April last year, is a proprietary audio recognition feature that identifies songs that users do not know or cannot remember.
The service enables music fans who hear a song on TV, in a cafe, on the radio or anywhere within hearing range of SongCatcher to immediately discover the name of the unknown track, much like the Apple-owned Shazam.
“We’re excited to bring SongCatcher to our iOS users,” Deezer chief product and growth officer Stefan Tweraser said. “We’ve all had that moment when you hear a song somewhere and can’t remember the name of the track or artist. Now with SongCatcher, music fans can discover a forgotten tune, as well as add the song immediately to their personal library.”
Deezer’s SongCatcher features include:
- Ability to instantly recognise any song from a library of over 56 million tracks worldwide.
- Add newly identified tracks to your favourites and/or playlists within Deezer.
- Immediately play saved and favourite tracks on Deezer Premium from SongCatcher.
- Available for all Deezer users, including free.
