Christian Polloni

Born and raised in Marseille, France, Christian Polloni is one of the most talented producers in Namibia. While in Marseille, he produced songs for a number of artists. He later moved to Paris in search for better opportunities. Here he met African stars such as Papa Wemba, and Youssou Ndour. He joined Alpha Blondy, the popular a reggae singer from Ivory Coast, who was looking for a guitarist. Together they toured Africa.

Christian ended up in Namibia, where he met a lady named Retha Louise Hofmeyer. The twosome wanted to produce a compilation for Namibians and by Namibians, but the project didn’t materialize due to limited funds. It took Retha five years to raise the money before she called Christian to start working on the project. In 1999, Retha managed to raise the required funds and the duo managed to produce for a number of Namibian artists. He has worked with artists like Ngatu, African Boy, Tequila, Axue and many others.
