The group, known individually for their versatile talents and collectively for their creative energy, first gained attention with their single ‘Ufunani’, which circulated widely on TikTok, showcasing their distinct identity and street culture.
Before venturing into music production, the trio built their reputations as part of the dance collective urban pantsula, celebrated for innovation in contemporary township dance. Their background in performance and rhythm now informs a unique musical approach, blending dance sensibilities with the amapiano sound.
Their debut single under Sony Music, ‘Shiqi’, is scheduled for release on 25 March. Organisers and industry observers note the track is expected to introduce a fresh sonic identity to the genre, reflecting the trio’s street-rooted authenticity and energetic style.
“With their combined history in Urban Pantsula and a shared passion for shaping the future of amapiano, the trio signals a powerful new chapter not only in their careers, but also in the evolving landscape of South African music,” a statement from Sony Music said.
‘Shiqi’ will be available across all digital platforms from 25 March.
