Call for applications: SXSW 2018
South by Southwest (SXSW) is calling on artists to submit their applications to perform at the annual music festival in Austin, Texas, next year. Artist can apply directly through the SXSW website. The entry deadline is 8 September 2017.

SXSW, which will take place between 9 and 18 March 2018, is the largerst festival of its kind in the world and hosts about 2 000 acts every year. SXSW is run by the company SXSW, LLC which organises conferences, trade shows and festivals
The initial application fee for showcasing artist applications is $35 before the September deadline, after which the application fee will be $55. The final application deadline is 20 October.
Music showcase applications are open to:
- All genres
- Solo acts and/or full bands
- Artists from any part of the world.
Invited artists are guaranteed at least one showcase slot:
- Showcase slots run an average of 40 minutes
- Slots will be scheduled for 12-18 March 2018 generally between 7pm and 2am (exceptions do apply)
- Venue, time and date assignment will vary
- SXSW does not provide artist backline nor cover travel and accommodation expenses.
