Call for applications: Keep the Dream Arts SA facilitators
Keep the Dream Arts is calling on music, drama, film and visual arts facilitators to apply for the Artucation Programme.
Founded in 2011, Keep the Dream Arts is looking for nine facilitators who will conduct 10 workshops in the above disciplines from 10 April to 29 June 2018. The deadline for applications is 21 March.
“We hope to achieve a great response from community art based artists who are passionate,” Keep the Dream Arts projects coordinator Khanyisile Jwaha told Music In Africa. “We want people who can work with young people. There is no age restrictions, anyone can apply.”
Requirements
- Applicants must have an interest in arts education, with the ability to work collaboratively with high school pupils.
- Applicants should have knowledge of their artistic discipline.
- Selected participants must be available for an interview and training.
- Each facilitator will be required to work once a week in their allocated schools.
- Preferences are given to applicants who already have a school that they are willing to work with.
- The call is preferably for people living in Johannesburg.
