2025 TikTok Sub-Saharan Africa Awards: All the nominees
TikTok has released the full list of nominees for the 2025 TikTok Awards Sub-Saharan Africa, which will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa on 6 December. The event will recognise artists, creators and digital trendsetters from across the region.
Nigerian artist Brown Joel took home the Artist of the Year trophy at the 2024 TikTok Awards Sub-Saharan Africa awards.
The awards highlight creators who have gained prominence on the platform in 2025 across categories such as music, entertainment, food, sports, education, and storytelling. According to TikTok, the annual ceremony aims to acknowledge the influence of African creators and the role they play in shaping online culture.
Voting for the awards is open until 14 November at midnight (CAT), with users allowed one vote per category each day via the official voting page. TikTok is also encouraging users to participate by following its regional accounts and engaging with content using the hashtag #TikTokAwardsSSA.
