Ongala Music Festival 2023

Honour the life and music of Remmy Ongala while supporting young artists from Africa and beyond. Our festival is a platform for local talent and a bridge connecting generations to their heritage. We empower and support young artists in East Africa to help them achieve a better quality of life.

Join us for a three-day celebration of Tanzanian culture and artistry at the Ongala Music Festival beginning with a Creatives Catalyst day called “Shusha Nanga.” Enjoy a mix of international artists and Tanzania's most popular bands, artists, and dancers. Other festival activities include a food and artisan market, workshops and training for artists and attendees, and drumming and bonfire.
