Short for Botswana Festival, it is a 100% Indigenous Cultural (Ngwao), Music (Mmino), & Fashion (Kapari) Experience. Inspired by the Three-Legged Pot (Pitsa), which is a staple in Botswana celebrations, this BOTSFEST icon reminds us of the important values of the event. Each Leg has a Meaning; the 1st Leg Stands for Culture, the 2nd Leg Represents Music & the 3rd leg Symbolises Fashion. The Event proudly celebrates, promotes and supports 100% Botswana products and services in line with #PushaBW.

CULTURE

At BOTSFEST, attendees will have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the rich heritage of Botswana. Experience traditional games, savor authentic Setswana cuisine and classic beverages, and explore cultural exhibitions that celebrate the country's vibrant history. The festival also features a dedicated Kiddies Section, offering culturally enriching activities designed especially for children, promoting family togetherness and cultural education.

We are thrilled to announce that BOTSFEST is a permanent stage for BW artists. In light of this, the inaugural event will feature a line up of 100% Botswana artists, celebrating the vibrant and diverse musical talent of our nation. From traditional rhythms to contemporary beats, our goal is to effect mindset change and deepening appreciation for both our cultural heritage and modern artistic expressions. BOTSFEST is a platform for both established artists and emerging stars.

FASHION

BOTSFEST aims to promote and celebrate Botswana’s fashion scene, with its dress theme: All attendees must wear clothing either made in Botswana, by Batswana or by indigenous brands. This theme embraces not only traditional attire but also modern interpretations of fashion trends with a Botswana touch. Local designers will have the opportunity to showcase their authentically crafted haute couture at the festival.
