Soulful Leah

Soulful Leah is an Afro-fusion artist from Zimbabwe.

She started playing the mbira when she was in Grade 3 at the age of eight and from there her desire for music increased exponentially. She joined the school choir and would lead most of the songs or was given solo verses as she was exceptional amongst the other choir Members. She went on to graduate from Music Crossroads Academy in 2017.

On the 17th of May 2015 she joined an International award winning Afro-fusion band called JESA which consists of 6 members who are graduates from the Music Crossroads Academy. She is the lead vocalist at Jesa and has travelled the world with them. They have perfomed at concerts and festivals in Zimbabwe, Belgium, Croatia, Sweden, Spain and China. Jesa has won first place at the Imagine Festival Competition in Croatia (2017) and first place at the Chibuku Road To Fame Competition held in Zimbabwe in 2019.
Soulful Leah has first place at the UMC Got Talent in Zimbabwe (2018) among other accomplishments. In addition to her soulful and captivating and mbira prowess, voice Leah also dances very well and is a percussionist.
