Shangano Arts Festival

The Shangano Arts Festival is an event that was designed to celebrate cultural diversity in Matebeleland. The extravaganza creates a platform that enables people to share ideas and talent. Some of the groups which have attended the event include Vulindlela, Ihawu, Kwabana, Lusupuko, Binga Sounds, Afro Bong, Black Sea, Black Amakhwezi, and Shaba Arts. The groups come from areas such as Lupane, Binga, Victoria Falls, Hwange and Tsholotsho. The event normally features exhibitions of several traditional foods made from grain such as sorghum and millet as well as games. Some of the activities which characterize the festival include music, theatre, poetry, and traditional dance.
