Salome van der Walt-Wepener

Salome van der Walt-Wepener was recently awarded a Masters degree from the Royal College of Music, London. She has performed as soloist with major orchestras in South Africa and regularly performs at venues across the UK, the Netherlands and South Africa.

At the ages of 13 and 15, she won the 3rd prize at the Virtuosi per Musica di Pianoforte, in Usti nad Labem, Czech Republic. At the age of 16, she won the fourth prize in the international piano competition, Marsala Italy. She has since won several major prizes, including the UNISA P J Lemmer Overseas Scholarship, the SAMRO Overseas Scholarship and the Philip Crawshaw Prize at the Royal Overseas League competition in London.
