Papa Zee

Papa Zee, real name Motlalehi Leshoele is a producer from Lesotho who owns a record label called Big Bang Music Entertainment, a Maseru-based independent imprint. Papa Zee is privy to the machinations of music distribution as it applies to Lesotho, a country with no formalised recording industry. Papa Zee has a long-standing history as an event organiser, music producer, and one-time radio host. He’s among the first wave of rappers to emerge from Lesotho in the early nineties. His 'Psalm 23' album influenced and pioneered various hip-hop sub-genres and youth movements of SeSotho language and culture.
