Pamtondo Records

Pamtondo is a Scottish owned recording company in Malawi. It was established by John Lwanda and the late George Claver in 1988 . The establishment of the recording stable was influenced by the duo's love for popular and traditional music. The twosome made their first compilations in 1991. They did their first recordings in May and June 1992 at the MCDE Studios in Blantyre.

In 1994, they established an organisation called Pamvision. Pamvision was founded to make music video recordings and films. They did their first video recording in May 1994 . Their first feature film was done in April 2013. The recording stable has done over 30 hours video recordings of gospel, popular and traditional music. With the changes in marketing music, company has moved to a more archival function while its old owner catches up with trends in music marketing. Pamtondo is a member of the Copyright Society of Malawi (COSOMA) and PPL (UK).
