KENT SPARTANS

Lehlohonolo Frans Motale (born 25 January 2001), known Professionally as Kent Spartans, is a South African born Rapper, Songwriter and a Record producer. He was Raised in a small Township called Tumahole in Parys from the Free State region. Kent Spartans is considered to be one of the hardest working artists in his hometown as he is one of the Household Names and a dominating artist.
Kent Spartans started his Musical Journey in his childhood back at his Former Primary School called Selogilwe Intermediate School in 2011 as he was Part of the Band playing a Trumpet as a First Trumpeter, that’s where he started learning about music theory and music arrangement. He later went to Secondary School in 2014 to do his Grade8 at Barnard Molokoane Comprehensive School that’s when he fell in love with Rap, being inspired by his older Cousin Thee Vaccine who was part of the Rap crew from Soweto called Zero Gravity. His Love for Rap grew when he started listening to the likes of Pro Kid, K.O to name a few as he started reciting their lyrics and writing down their Rap’s.
Kent Spartans recorded his first rap song in 2016 together with his friend JayD who was his partner in a Duo Called Nikkas From The Hood short for NFH at that time. He went on as a solo artist recording Independent around his hometown trying to breakthrough in to the music scene. Later 2021 he dropped his Studio EP called Dawn Of A Huncho that was his Rebranding, changing sounds and his musical approach. The EP included song’s like The Dawn, John Vuli Gate & Tarzan those were the songs that Validated him as a Rapper in his Hometown as they Became the talk of the town. His name now Carries weight in his hometown and that might be one of his prophesies as he Calls himself “The 056 Huncho” meaning the 056 Boss. Kent Spartans made it to big Stage’s Performing alongside International Rapper’s like Ntate Stunna, Blxckie, Toss, Busta 929, 25K & Maglera Doe Bouy to add on the list and he did all that as an independent artist.
