George Mensah Essilfie

Geeorge Mensah Essilfie is a Ghanaian composer. He won the World Peace Prayer Society songwriting contest, which was set up by the World Peace Prayer Society partnering with the UN in 1994. Two years later the British Choral Institute invited him to the UK’s Easter music school for music educators.

He is the music director of the Osagyefo Theatre company, Luton, UK.

According to his website, Essilfie “is currently the Music Director for The Association of Ghana Methodist Church Choirs in North America comprising The USA and Canada. His interests include West African sacred choral composition, folk songs, military cadences, holistic music and Computer Music and with Computer Aided Art creations . He resides in Columbus, OH USA.”
