Dr Sipho Sithole

Dr. Sipho Sithole holds a PhD degree in Anthropology and is the founder and owner of Native Rhythms Records and Native Rhythms Productions, an integrated entertainment company in music publishing, production, and concerts and festivals. He has recently established Afrocentric Agency, a talent agency focusing on Pan-African talent and services in music, poetry, public speaking, documentaries, and research.

Dr. Sithole is an award-winning music producer and is credited with coining the now most popular genre in South Africa, ‘Afro- soul’, after his successful signing and producing of artists and singer songwriters who have dominated the afro-world music scene locally and abroad and is considered to be the first music executive to mainstream hip hop in South Africa.
