Brian O. Kepher

Brian O. Kepher is a Music Student from Nairobi, Kenya with an academic passion in Ethnomusicology.

Kepher graduated from Kenyatta University in 2017 with an Associate Degree in Music (Distinction). He has been a timpanist and Percussionist in Nairobi Orchestra, Kenya National Youth Orchestra, the Kenya Conservatoire Symphony Orchestra, the SCOKENDIA Ensemble (UK), the Dar Choral Society and Orchestra (Tanzania), Seoul International Community Orchestra (South Korea), World Civic Orchestra (USA) and has been the Music Director of Ghetto Classics, including conducting the performance attended by both the President of the Republic of Kenya and Pope Francis on his 2015 Papal State visit to Africa. Invited also as guest conductor in 2016, to the 5th International Gustav Mahler Conducting Competition (Germany). He is devoted to the facilitating the development of African Music preservation and appreciation: Hence his academic focus on orchestrating native African folk tunes.
