Brandon 'B-RAE' Ruiters is a classically trained graduate from Cape Town, South Africa.

He studied at UCT’s college of music and has a lot of his experience from his church where he developed his love for music. Brandon has shared the stage with artists such as Jimmy Dludlu, Jonathan Butler, the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra, Mike Campbell Big Band, Emo Adams, karin Kortjie and many more.

Brandon is a versatile trumpet player with a unique approach to sound. His innovation makes him stand out as he also incorporates effects pedals into his playing which has given him a great reputation as a “one man horn section”.

He is one of the few trumpet players in South Africa who plays on many different stages and remains enthusiastic about his future endeavors. As of 2020, he was recording his debut album, which will make him be the first South African trumpeter to release an instrumental hip hop music, fusing African and soul melodies.
