The Music In Africa Conference For Collaborations, Exchange And Showcases (ACCES) is an annual gathering where musicians, music professionals, industry players and fans from across the continent gather to exchange ideas, discover new talent and spearhead the shaping of the vibrant music sector on the continent.

Founded in 2016, ACCES started off as a small feature on the Music In Africa Foundation’s AGM Plus programme that was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in November.

The event is held in different countries and is an ideal platform that benefits the industry of the host country. ACCES is known for luring well known and respected delegates from different countries. The conference has a dynamic programme that is designed in such a way that it benefits local participants and visiting delegates.

ACCES features a variety of activities such as music training workshops, panel discussions, presentations, live performances, networking sessions, exhibitions and visits to key music industry hubs in the host city.

Since its inception, the event has afforded opportunities for the local industry to showcase its musical works to a diverse audience while enabling business exchange and the creation of a strong network of music professionals on the continent.

ACCES 2018 took place at the National Theatre in Nairobi, Kenya from 15 to 17 November. ACCES 2019 will take place in Accra, Ghana from 14 to 16 November.
