Bio
Sir Ray (born Raymond Tatenda Mupfumira) is a multi-talented instrumentalist playing a range of instruments from the bass guitar, piano, Mbira and marimba.
Over the years he has travelled and played on over 150 stages in 18 countries around the world as a session musician playing with artist’s from all over the world.
In 2018, he launched his career as a live looping artist in Windhoek, Namibia (where he was based for 4 years).
In 2018 he began film scoring and producing the soundtrack for the choreography for the Windhoek international Dance Festival, Naked and Gondwana.
He is currently the bass player for the Vaughn Ahrens Band (Namibia) and live music curator for Ela the Garden (Zimbabwe) hosting weekend events.
