Open call: Fak’ugesi Awards 2024 for African creatives
African creatives in the digital creative space are invited to submit calls for the 2024 edition of Fak’ugesi Awards.
The submission deadline is 15 August 2024.
The awards are designed to honour creatives in different categories including music, animation, video games, XR (AR, VR), visual arts and, for the first time, design.
Requirements
- Applicants must be 18 years or older and reside in any African country.
- Submitted work must be their own, and they must have a fully completed project that has been shown publicly.
- An application must be made in one category, with the project or material created between 2022 and the present.
- All submissions involving jointly owned intellectual property rights must include the full written consent of all rights holders concerned.
- The awards are open to all individuals and companies who wish to apply.

Applications are open and creatives can submit their projects here until 15 August. Nominations can be made here before 1 August and their industry leading jury will be announced on 26 August.
