MCCD (Musical Collaboration in Cultural Diversity)

MCCD - Project Concept

MCCD portrays the cultural diversity in Tribal Music, Dance, Fashion and Food.

MCCD will be presented as a Musical Festival of different racial groups: Native Africans, Indians, Whites, Coloureds, Music Legends, women, youth and disabled people. MCCD features different musical interpretations of traditional and modern musical instruments, voices & dance. MCCD will be narrating a story of musical evolution from the earliest music era from Blues sang by slaves to Scott Joplin’s Reg time to Dixieland, Motown Jazz, Bebop, Cool Jazz, Modern Jazz, Fusion, Afro Jazz, Bubble Gum, Disco, Kwaito, Gqom and Amapiano. The MCCD residential band will accompanying a selective group of males and female singers that will echo the narrator by performing various music evolutions throughout the show.

MCCD 2022 will be displaying great culture of Indian Music and Dance led by Dilkash Bollywood Band. The Zulu Dancers, Scottish Bands, Reggae will be showcasing their cultural diversity in tribal celebration, while Prof Rippon and African Buskers will be showcasing educational lyrical content in Rock and Reggae Grooves. Afrikaans and English Country Music will be portrayed by the band called Die Campbell Brother.
