Suno appoints Jeremy Sirota as chief commercial officer
Music company Suno has appointed Jeremy Sirota as its chief commercial officer. Sirota, who previously served as CEO of Merlin, will oversee Suno’s commercial strategy, platform partnerships, music industry relationships, and enterprise solutions, reporting directly to CEO Mikey Shulman.

Sirota’s career spans leadership roles across music, technology, and law. At Merlin, he scaled annual revenue from $900 million to $1.8 billion over six years, rebuilt the company’s technology infrastructure, and expanded data and licensing capabilities to support independent music rightsholders. He also led licensing agreements with major platforms including Apple, Deezer, Meta, Spotify, Twitch, and YouTube, and negotiated some of the industry’s early generative AI partnerships.
Shulman highlighted Sirota’s track record in partnership-building. “Jeremy is a rare leader who has spent his career working to improve every side of the music business, for fans, artists, music rightsholders, and platforms,” he said. “What truly sets him apart is his ability to build what doesn’t yet exist, finding opportunity where others see obstacles and bringing all sides with him.”
Sirota said his focus at Suno will be on expanding interactive and integrated music experiences. “What excites me about Suno is the opportunity to shape a future where music becomes more interactive and integrated into people’s daily lives,” he said. “Suno is building new layers of creativity and connectivity that didn’t exist before, and I’m energised to help bring that vision to life alongside the industry.”
Prior to Merlin, Sirota held roles at Meta, Warner Music Group, and as a technology lawyer at Morrison Foerster, specialising in licensing and intellectual property for entertainment companies.
Suno, which powers its platform with advanced AI music models, recently launched Suno Studio, a generative audio workstation that combines multi-track editing with AI stem generation. The company also unveiled v5, its latest music model, which offers enhanced creative control for users. Suno’s stated mission is to enable new forms of engagement between artists and fans while providing tools for music creation and discovery.
With Sirota leading commercial initiatives, Suno aims to accelerate its vision for the next digital format of recorded music, promoting interactive collaboration between creators and audiences worldwide.
