“This is a bold blend of local icons and global greatness, a true reflection of the vibrant, diverse spirit of the DStv Delicious Festival,” DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival media and marketing director Funeka Peppeta said. “The Channel O Dance Stage is where rhythm meets heritage. We’re proud to curate a space where the continent’s most exciting DJs and dance music innovators come together to celebrate the sounds that move South Africa.”
The Saturday main stage will see Don Toliver – whose collaborations with Travis Scott, SZA, Justin Bieber, and Doja Cat – have made him one of the most in-demand artists of the moment. The rapper, who boasts over 30 million monthly listeners on Spotify and has sold out venues like the Barclays Center in New York, is expected to electrify the crowd with hits like ‘No Idea’, fusing seamlessly with the kasi pride and lyrical prowess of local stars Kwesta and Inkabi Zezwe.
The Channel O Dance Stage, a consistent festival favourite, promises an exhilarating mix of genres including amapiano, soulful house, Afro-house, hip hop, Afro-Tech, 3-Step and Gqom.
International DJ and Glastonbury Festival alumnus ASHOJU will bring his Naija-infused rhythms to the stage before handing over to Oscar Mbo, the Metro FM Award-winning DJ renowned for his deep, soulful house sets.
Sunday’s edition of the Channel O Dance Stage will pay tribute to legends and boundary-pushers alike. House music pioneer Sandy Rivera of Kings Of Tomorrow will headline, preceded by performances from respected figures such as activist DJ Kabila, who will bring his refined house beats, and Kenzhero, known for his rich blend of jazz and urban funk. Iconic DJs Fresh and Vinny will set the tone with their classic selections, while DJ Tira and Lulo Café will raise the tempo ahead of Rivera’s closing set
