Tarrah
Bio
Tarrah is a transformative singer-songwriter whose music transcends borders and speaks the language of the soul. With a professional music career that began in 2005, her journey was born long before then—singing in church from the age of four. Today, Tarrah thrives in the Afrosoul genre, where she pours her heart into crafting songs that are deeply rooted in themes of love, hope, unity, and peace. Amid a world often clouded by division, war, and fear, her melodies rise as a healing balm, reminding listeners of the beauty that still exists.
A veterinarian by day and a prolific artist at heart, Tarrah has written and recorded over 120 songs to date, with many serving as official soundtracks in film and television across Amazon Prime and Nigerian TV dramas. Her gift for storytelling through music has earned her recognition on global platforms—garnering awards and accolades including Honourable Mentions from both the International Songwriting Competition (2020) and the Unsigned Only Music Competition (2021), selected from thousands of entries spanning more than 150 countries.
She has graced major live stages across Nigeria, the United States, and the United Kingdom, captivating audiences with her emotionally resonant performances. Her notable works include original compositions for critically acclaimed films such as Still Falling, Mamba’s Diamond, Ordinary Fellows, Tame the Silent Killer, and Dangerous Hope—the latter in partnership with the UNHCR and Judith Audu Productions to spotlight the plight of refugees. Her song “Ayekuruju” featured in the 2024 film L.I.F.E is a testament to her unmatched ability to evoke raw emotion and spiritual depth through sound.
Tarrah is the founder of Davida Music, a record label committed to curating clean, timeless music in a world saturated with fleeting trends. She is also the co-founder of Blossoms of Love Foundation, a non-profit focused on youth empowerment and development, echoing her dedication to purposeful living both on and off the stage.
Her music has received widespread praise and has been featured on BBC Radio Manchester, TVC Nigeria, Channels Television, SoulTracks (USA), Bong Mines Entertainment, TopHitz UK, and more. She has performed at MIDEM 2020 and remained active through the pandemic with global live-streamed concerts that connected her to fans worldwide.
Originally from Lagos and the 8th of 9 siblings, Tarrah hails from Ebonyi State, Nigeria. She now lives in the United Kingdom with her supportive husband and three beautiful daughters. Tarrah is a registered member of the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO), with her catalogue published on platforms like Songtrust and available on all major streaming services including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Deezer, Tidal, Audiomack, and Boomplay.
In every note she sings and every lyric she pens, Tarrah reminds the world that music is not just entertainment—it is a calling, a message, and a lifeline. For her, love is the anchor, and the world, her ever-expanding stage.
