Nomcebo Zikode closes Africa Forward Business Forum in Nairobi
South African singer Nomcebo Zikode performed at the closing session of the Africa Forward Business Forum held at the University of Nairobi on 12 May as part of the Africa Forward Summit 2026.
French President Emmanuel Macron briefly joined Nomcebo Zikode on stage.
Zikode delivered the final performance during the “Inspire & Connect” forum programme, which brought together business leaders, investors, entrepreneurs and government representatives from across Africa and France.
The event was attended by more than 1 500 delegates and focused on topics including investment, technology, industrialisation, innovation and sustainable development.
During the performance, French President Emmanuel Macron briefly joined Zikode on stage alongside Olivier Laouchez.
“I am honoured to close this important gathering and share South Africa’s musical spirit with our brothers and sisters across Africa and France,” Zikode said.
Organisers said the inclusion of live performances formed part of efforts to highlight the role of culture and the creative industries in strengthening economic and diplomatic relations between African countries and France.
Zikode is also expected to appear at the Africa Forward Le Concert event scheduled to take place at Kasarani Indoor Arena in Nairobi.
The Africa Forward Summit 2026 has featured a series of discussions and networking events aimed at promoting partnerships between African and French businesses and institutions.
