Nigeria: Asake shares fourth studio album M$NEY
Nigerian Afrobeats artist Asake has released his fourth studio album M$NEY, issued via GIRAN REPUBLIC and EMPIRE.
Asake.
The 13-track project arrives two years after his previous releases and continues the singer’s blend of Afrobeats, fújì, Afropop and amapiano influences. The album opens with a live choral performance and moves through a range of orchestral, electronic and dance-driven production.
The cover artwork, created by Iraqi-Dutch artist Arthar Jabar, depicts a marble sculpture in Asake’s likeness, intended to reflect both his physical image and cultural influence.
On the track ‘Gratitude’, Asake reflects on public scrutiny and personal resilience over a jazz-influenced arrangement. On Forgiveness, he explores themes of accountability and personal growth.
“M$NEY is a reflection of my spiritual and creative journey,” Asake said. “Everything flows from a place of gratitude to God and every moment that’s shaped me. The music explores different sonic elements, from orchestral sounds to dance beats. I stay true to myself but also weave in new creative expressions from my life experiences and personal evolution.”
The album follows a series of singles released throughout 2025, beginning with ‘Why Love’ in February, followed by ‘Badman Gangsta’ featuring Tiakola and ‘Worship’ with DJ Snake. The latter collaborations incorporate reworked samples and cross-genre production elements, extending Asake’s international collaborations.
The full tracklist includes ‘Intro’, ‘Worship (with DJ Snake)’, ‘Gratitude’, ‘Rora’, ‘Amen’, ‘Wa’, ‘MCBH’, ‘Why Love’, ‘Forgiveness’, ‘Oba’, ‘Badman Gangsta’ (ft. Tiakola), ‘Asambe’ (ft. Kabza De Small) and ‘Skilful’.
Since his breakout in 2020, Asake has become one of the most commercially successful Afrobeats artists globally. He holds a record 62 entries on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart and was recently named the most-streamed artist on Spotify Nigeria.
His previous album Lungu Boy (2024) achieved significant streaming milestones and supported a global tour that included sold-out performances at venues such as Madison Square Garden in New York, Barclays Center and The O2 Arena in London.
Asake has received two Grammy nominations in the Best African Music Performance category for ‘Amapiano’ (featuring Olamide) and ‘MMS’ (featuring Wizkid).
